BLOG: UNI Volleyball Faces Team With Pro and Olympian in Europe
The University of Northern Iowa volleyball squad is headed to Europe for its foreign tour on May 12-23. lt;br />The Panthers will take part in matches as well as tour spots in France (Paris, Montpellier, Istre and Nice), Italy (Pisa, Florence, Cinque Terre and Torino) and Spain (Barcelona) over the two weeks.

LINCOLN, Neb. – The University of Northern Iowa softball team fell to the No. 14-seeded Nebraska Cornhuskers this evening in the opening round of the 2013 NCAA Softball Tournament, 4-0.

The University of Northern Iowa Track and Field team will send three women and six men to the 2013 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field West Preliminary round in Austin, Texas, it was announced today.
Kosmacek Inducted into IGHSAU Hall of Fame
Former University of Northern Iowa track and field competitor Meredith Kosmacek will be inducted into the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union's Track & Field Hall of Fame this Saturday at the State Track & Field Meet in Des Moines.

Season 4

The 2009 - 2010 athletic season at the University of Northern Iowa was one to remember for a long time. The highlight of the year has to go to the UNI men's basketball team for their two NCAA Tournament wins including a victory over number 1 seeded and ranked Kansas to reach the Sweet Sixteen for the first time in school history.
When thinking about the individual athlete's accomplishments we salute UNI football player Josh Mahoney who was awarded the Walter Byers Post-Graduate scholarship which he will use towards law school.
Add a few Missouri Valley Conference titles to the mix (Volleyball, Men's Basketball, and Women's Basketball) and it was quite the year. Thanks to the UNI athletic administrators, coaches, players, and support staff for a wonderful year.
